Mandeep Hayer

Physiotherapy

Mandeep holds both a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. He grew up and still lives in South Vancouver, staying involved in his community through volunteer work with John Oliver Secondary Athletics and the Khalsa Diwan Society.

A life-long learner, Mandeep continues to take professional development courses to provide the most evidenced based treatment to his clients. He has taken courses in manual therapy, concussion management and functional strength and conditioning. He is certified to practice both IMS (Chann Gunn IMS) and acupuncture (Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute). Mandeep also incorporates the FMS (Functional Movement Screen) and SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) into his assessment and treatment approach.

Mandeep has a special interest in sports injuries and has treated everyone from weekend warriors to tactical and professional athletes. He served as the team Physiotherapist for the New Westminster Salmonbellies Senior Lacrosse Team from 2015-2019 and was part of the medical team for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

In his down time, Mandeep enjoys all things sports related, especially complaining about his fantasy football team. He also enjoys being walked by his dog, Luna, around local trails and parks.
